My name is Zarra Jane Winters….or at least that is what I have been told.

My name is Zarra Jane, or at least that is what I am told. I have no recollection of that name or the face in the mirror. I only know who I am by what I am told by others. I know sociology mandates that one defines self through others—but this is ridiculous. I keep hoping that I’ll wake up from this nightmare.

Genetic Corp X is one of the world’s premier tissue and organ cloning centers. Medical breakthroughs of all kinds have originated from the work done at the facility. Zarra Perez was their lead research scientist on her way to curing Alzheimer’s disease–until a nearly fatal accident left her with no personal memories or sense of self.

Her father and husband want her to return to the life they say she had before her accident. However, even with no sense of personal identity, Zarra isn’t content to allow others to dictate her life while she waits on her memories to come back. In her desperate search to remember show she is, Zarra uncovers the horrible truth about Genetic Corp X. Now she is faced with a moral dilemma that could result in her own death.

Join Zarra in her search for her lost memories and find out what the secret of Genetic Corp X really is!

(This is a stand alone story, but it links in with The Daughter of Ares Chronicles)

This book is available in both paper and eBook!

The follow up book to Verses of Athine and the next book in The Daughter of Ares Chronicles is here!

Nikeda did not die. In fact, her cursed bloods flourish in Zarra’s realm. To further complicate matters, Miranda has fallen in love with Nikeda’s son, Drake.

With the truth out, Zarra must choose between killing her friends or accepting Miranda as the prized lover of a powerful enemy.

In the meantime, Athine has discovered another threat to the N’Loron called the Malatista. The birth of this prophesied child may mean the very end of the N’Loron and her reign.

This is a collective book of poetry by Shannon McRoberts. The print quality is more of a graphic novel, but the installments will be closer to comic books.

Currently this book is available in paper only!

What Inspired You?
I have always been interested in Greek Mythology and lore in general.  I guess I played enough video games, D&D, and read enough fantasy books/comic books to finally create my own characters and world. I always wanted to know more about the Greek/Roman gods and I never enjoyed the basic stories they gave you in grade school.  I wanted more and when I couldn’t find more I invented it!
What are you books most like?
If Buffy met Xena and they fell into the Lord of the Rings books I think that might give you some idea of what my works are like.  Full warning though…I do put in “fantasy” type names/items in my books.  I have had great joy from reviews that compare Gen Xto Blade Runner and Verses to Tolkien.
Athine is just Athena spelled funny, isn't she?
No, that’s a common misconception.  Athine is a completely new character.  She isn’t a rebuilt Mythology.  A lot of my characters are based in Mythology, but you can usually pick those characters out!  Athine, Nikeda, Zarra, and more are all original characters I created from the devious void of my mind.
How does The Secret of Genetic Corp X fit into The N'Loron Universe?
Gen X was the very first book I wrote and it was most like a futuristic sci-fi concept.  I never intended to write about Zarra again, but after I got finished with The Blood Sisters I had a great idea to bring Zarra into the world of Athine.  Now, Gen X is more of a background story for Zarra.  I plan on doing more of these kinds of stories on some characters when I get Cursed Bloods completed.
What age range are your books recommended for?
I would recommend my books for 16+ due to the cursing and sexual situations.  The Beginning is a safe book for younger readers.  The comic adaptation is also planned to be safe for those same readers, but the art is very fantasy oriented and some of the outfits may be a little more revealing than some parents would like.  I encourage all adults to review the material if they intend to purchase one of my works for a younger reader.
